Amy is excited to share her vision of art as an expression of peace. She brings a lifetime of artistic expression and over 14 years of ceramic experience to Orange County, North Carolina.

Amy's resume includes a Bachelor of Arts from UNC-CH, a ceramics degree from Haywood Community College, an apprenticeship under renowned potter Sarah Rolland and an artist-in-residence at Shigaraki Ceramic Institute in Japan.

From her studio  Amy creates dramatic functional work including:

  • Platters
  • Bowls
  • Bakers
  • Teapots
  • Planters
  • Vases
  • Mugs
Amy also specializes in creating sculptural work that represent her artistic vision.  Her Ceramic Peace series has received international attention.

AGP and the Haywood Community College Alumni Show:

 

Amy and other Alum from Haywood Community College participated in a Alumni Show & Grand Opening of the new HCC Creative Arts Building on Friday, March 1st 2013.


AGP and the Animal Protection Society of Durham:


In 2012, AGP donated work for an auction for the SCPA society of Durham, NC.



AGP and the JDRF:

Amy Gelber Pottery joined forces with 
Cisco Systems, Inc. at the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation Charity Ball and Auction in Raleigh, NC on October 24th, 2008.
